The BOAT (Brief History):
The Book of Acts Tabernacle was founded and established as an independent church and is incorporated as a nonprofit organization under the laws of the State of Ohio.
We had a humble beginning in a pole barn without a heating system, rest rooms and many other things, but it was filled with the glory of His presence in the safety of His love and peace. We experienced His church being a people rather than a building. As we began to grow up in Jesus Christ, the barn became "The B.O.A.T." with remodeling and additions. By God's GRACE we will continue to grow in maturity and relationship, rejoicing in the bonds of unity and love. We pray for His "GLORY" to flow out from this tabernacle into our entire community.
Beloved, now we are the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. I John 3:2
Our Faith:
As a "Spirit filled"church, we embrace the whole Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Bible as the infallible Word of God. As believers, we hold fast to the principles of the "New Testament" as we seek Christ-likeness and the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. As ambassadors of Christ, we fully accept the "Great Commission" as a mandate to us as a "Royal Priesthood".
And.....As sons of God, we are growing up in Him, transformed (changed) in the presence of God, to manifest Jesus Christ in the earth.
